¡Hola todos!
Please find below the link to the blog that I’m maintaining while on my internship with the Centro de Estudios y Prevención de Desastres (PREDES) in Cusco, Peru. Just a note of introduction first, a few details that are not in my regular blog: I am a second-year Master’s student at Carleton University’s Norman Patterson School of International Affairs. In 2009, I completed a BA in International Relations at Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. I’ve been interested in international development for several years now, and I’ve had a number of opportunities to further my understanding of development issues (including a volunteering trip to Honduras, an internship with the North-South Institute in Ottawa, and a 3-month internship in Lima, Peru). That being said, I’m very excited to go once more to Peru and get some more ‘hands-on’ experience with an organization directly related to my research interests and future career goals.
